Welcome to Peninsula Concrete Sealing, your trusted local experts for garage floor sealing services across the Mornington Peninsula. From Frankston to Portsea, we transform stained, worn garage floors into durable, visually appealing surfaces that enhance your area's functionality and practicality.
Our coatings — including epoxy-based sealers and clear finishes over exposed concrete — are tailored for coastal homes in Langwarrin, Mount Martha and Rosebud, protecting against daily wear and workshop conditions. All our systems are from Nutech, Seaford. They've been around for over five decades and export to over 30 countries; they are considered among the best in the world.
Garage floors face daily abuse from vehicles, oil and chemical spills, and heavy tools, often showing marks, cracks and stains. Many assume painting a garage floor is a simple DIY task, but it's a technical process requiring expertise. Where cracks need attention first, we handle concrete crack repairs as part of proper preparation. Our meticulous approach ensures your floors withstand wear without compromising the look or longevity.
We use epoxy — namely Nutech EPiC Epoxy 500. We can add a flake effect if you desire, and can finish it with a clear 2 Pack. Both are a two-coat system. It is chemical and impact resistant and looks amazing. It will last for decades under normal circumstances.
During our inspection, we figure it out with you. If the surface is too non-porous we may etch it with acid. If it has been over-sealed we may grind or strip the surface. Cracks and construction joints will be dealt with accordingly.
Resealing over existing coatings requires identifying the prior paint or sealer type — epoxy, acrylic, enamel or solvent-based — to prevent compatibility issues. We use solvent tests (for example, acrylic dissolves, epoxy resists, enamel shows a chicken-foot pattern) to determine the coating. Enamel-based products, like Bunnings Berger Jet Dry, often fail prematurely even with proper prep. For these, we strip the surface back completely using strippers followed by pressure washing, creating a clean base for our high-quality sealers (we may also grind).
Mismatched coatings cause bubbling or delamination, so this step is critical.
Once prepped, we apply two coats of premium paint, typically epoxy or solvent-based for chemical resistance, with curing time between layers. For high-end requirements we can do two coats of Epoxy followed by two coats of 2 Pack employing a flake system. For high-traffic garages, we add non-slip additives for safety — ideal for sloped floors or wet conditions in coastal areas like Rye. All of our non-slip additives are AS 4586 compliant and we can achieve the maximum rating of P4+ if required.
Beyond garage floors, our expertise extends to driveways, exposed aggregate and commercial applications. In Mount Martha, we apply polyurethane to patios, while in Langwarrin we use solvent-based coatings for workshop durability. We offer matt, satin, gloss or high-gloss finishes, tailored to your needs.
We live by “Do it right or don't do it at all.” If we can't guarantee a 10/10 finish, we won't proceed — explaining why and leaving the decision to you.
